About Digital Independence

Digital Independence is a non-profit organization founded during the winter of 2009 in Cambridge, MA 02139. Our mission is simple... to provide everyone with unbiased, accurate, and up-to-date information on all aspects digital. Whether you need assistance setting up your wireless network, or server administration, we seek to provide you with the tools and knowledge to do so.

If you seek to make people more independent, why offer services?

This is a question we are asked quite frequently at Digital Independence, and our answer is rather simple. Not everyone has the time to attend our classes, especially with today's busy schedules. Sometimes all it takes is a simple kernel panic to spark a person's interest in technology. Services provide our main source of income, money needed in an effort to be self-sustaining organization with a training venue for volunteers. Our prices are listed below.

• Wireless network setup service will cover a wireless router set up and security configuration. Agents will also be able to help connect up to 5 devices to the network, if requested.
• PC Hardware Upgrade service only displays labor fee. Additional fees may apply for parts. Parts may also be self-purchased elsewhere.
• PC Peripheral Setup service will provide assistance in the installation of not more than two basic devices as defined by DI agents servicing your request. Common devices include, but are not limited to: home printers, cameras, webcams, scanners, etc.
• PC Software Setup service will provide assistance in the installation of not more than three legally purchased software products. DI, Inc. will not provide licenses, not affiliate itself with illegitimate software.
